Os maias tektitekos são um pequeno grupo indígena que habita as montanhas do oeste da Guatemala e áreas vizinhas do sul do México. Descendentes da antiga civilização maia, preservam sua própria língua da família mameana e mantêm tradições agrícolas comunitárias, cultivando principalmente o milho e o feijão nas encostas íngremes. Sua identidade combina a herança ancestral com uma forte vivência da fé cristã.
