In Syria, gospel workers are reaching unreached Muslim communities at the risk of their lives. The organization Global Catalytic Ministries (GCM) shares the testimonies of believers who face fear as spiritual first responders. As Mike, GCM's director, explains: "It's not the absence of fear; it's what you do with the fear." The ministry is committed to establishing Christian communities in the world's most persecuted regions.

One of the most striking testimonies is that of Sister H, who sensed God's call to reach her own Shia community in Syria. While trying to pass through a corridor controlled by ISIS, she was arrested and interrogated. "She thinks things are going to get worse, so she starts praying: 'The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?'" Mike recounts. As she proclaimed God's promises, she was miraculously released without explanation and was able to continue her journey.

Another gospel worker, Sister S, serves among Syria's Druze community. As a result of her dedication, the first Druze baptism took place in 2025, a historic milestone. GCM plans to send three waves of disciples to deepen and expand these Jesus-centered communities in one of the most dangerous regions on the planet.

Pray for Sister H's protection and growing faith as she remains embedded in a Shia community, making disciples where it is most dangerous. Pray for the continued spread of the gospel among the Druze and other unreached peoples in Syria. May God use every courageous believer to establish strongholds of light in the deepest darkness.
