Overview

Algeria is home to dozens of people groups, nearly all of them Muslim and with little or no access to the gospel. Among them are the Algerian Arabs, the Kabyle, the Mozabites of the Mzab Valley, the Chaouia (a Berber people of the Aurès Mountains) of the Aurès, and the Tuareg (a nomadic Berber people of the Sahara) of the desert. Many of these languages still do not have the complete Bible, and most of these peoples remain without a significant Christian presence, even though a remarkable movement of faith has arisen among the Kabyle.
