Bahrain

Unreached people groups

An overview of the country's people groups, focusing on those who still have little or no access to the gospel in their own language and culture.

Overview

The Bahraini people are mostly Arab and Muslim, divided between Sunnis and Shias, and remain almost entirely without access to the gospel. Sunni Bahraini Arabs have a Christian presence below 0.1%, while the Shias, an even larger community, remain with fewer than 2% evangelicals. The country's living churches are made up mostly of foreign workers, while the heart of the native people remains among the least reached in the region.
