Overview

Benin is home to more than fifty ethnic groups. The largest are the Fon, the Adja and the Yoruba in the south, and the Bariba, the Dendi and the Fula in the north. Several of these peoples remain without a living church among them, with minimal evangelical presence, especially among the Muslim Fula and northern groups. Dozens of local languages still do not have a translated Bible, which makes access to the gospel a real challenge.
