Falkland Islands

Unreached people groups

An overview of the country's people groups, focusing on those who still have little or no access to the gospel in their own language and culture.

Overview

The population of the Falkland Islands is small and fairly homogeneous, made up mainly of residents of British origin and workers who came from Saint Helena, Chile and elsewhere for fishing and sheep farming. Christianity is the majority faith, but growing secularization and isolation make sustaining a living church the territory's main spiritual challenge.
