Honduras

Unreached people groups

An overview of the country's people groups, focusing on those who still have little or no access to the gospel in their own language and culture.

Overview

Honduras is a majority Christian nation, but it still holds peoples who need the gospel in their own language and culture. Indigenous communities such as the Lenca, Miskito, Tawahka, Pech and Tol, along with the Afro-descendant Garifuna of the Caribbean coast, keep their own identity and language. There are still communities where the Scriptures are not fully available in their mother tongue, and the greatest challenge is bringing these cultures a gospel that reaches them with depth and respect.
