Iceland

Unreached people groups

An overview of the country's people groups, focusing on those who still have little or no access to the gospel in their own language and culture.

Overview

Iceland has only 6 documented people groups, with the vast majority of the population made up of Icelanders. The only group classified as unreached is the Thai Isan community, of Buddhist origin, with about 1,700 people. The other groups, including Poles, Lithuanians, Danes and Germans, have access to the Gospel in their languages of origin. The great challenge is not lack of access but the spiritual indifference that characterizes society as a whole.
