Libya

Unreached people groups

An overview of the country's people groups, focusing on those who still have little or no access to the gospel in their own language and culture.

Overview

Libya has 45 people groups, of which 34 (75.6% of the groups, nearly 90% of the population) are still considered unreached with the gospel. The vast majority are Libyan Arab or Cyrenaican Arab, predominantly Sunni Muslim, with small Amazigh (Berber), Tuareg, and Tebu minorities in the desert regions of the south, with very little access to the church or to the Scriptures in their own languages.
