An overview of the country's people groups, focusing on those who still have little or no access to the gospel in their own language and culture.
Malaysia brings together 183 ethnic and people groups, of which 78 are still considered unreached with the gospel, among them the majority Malay ethnic group, of Muslim faith, and several smaller peoples of the island of Borneo. About half of the country's population lives among still unreached groups, making Malaysia one of the most challenging countries in Southeast Asia for the advance of the church.
