Naoero

Unreached people groups

An overview of the country's people groups, focusing on those who still have little or no access to the gospel in their own language and culture.

Overview

Nauru is home to just seven people groups, including native Nauruans and communities from Kiribati, Tuvalu, the Marshall Islands and China, who came mainly to work in phosphate mining. According to Joshua Project, none of these groups is currently considered an unreached people group, but the presence of the gospel there is stronger as an inherited tradition than as a personal, living faith for much of the population.
