An overview of the country's people groups, focusing on those who still have little or no access to the gospel in their own language and culture.
The Netherlands is home to 71 people groups, the result of centuries of maritime trade and, more recently, strong waves of immigration. Among them, 20 groups, about 1.7 million people, are still considered unreached, most of Moroccan, Turkish, Afghan, Iraqi, and other Muslim-majority origins, now living in neighborhoods of major Dutch cities. Alongside a local population increasingly distant from traditional Christian faith, these groups make the Netherlands one of the most strategic and least noticed mission fields in Western Europe.
