Overview

Niue has only two registered peoples: the Niuean people themselves, of Polynesian roots, and a small group of other Pacific islanders residing on the island. There are no unreached peoples in the traditional sense, since almost the entire population identifies as Christian. The challenge here is of a different nature: the Niuean people are classified as partially reached because the faith, though widespread, is not always lived out in a personal and mature way, while the small group of other Pacific islanders is already at a more significant stage of evangelical reach.
