North Macedonia

Unreached people groups

An overview of the country's people groups, focusing on those who still have little or no access to the gospel in their own language and culture.

Overview

Of the 16 people groups living in North Macedonia, 9 are considered unreached, most of them Muslim Albanian, Turkish, and Roma communities, concentrated mainly in the north and west of the country. Although most of the population identifies as Orthodox Christian, evangelicals make up less than 1% of the inhabitants, and faith remains more a family inheritance than a path of personal discipleship. Few of these peoples today have an active local church capable of reaching their own neighbors.
