Overview

Of the 10 ethnic groups recorded in the Northern Mariana Islands, only the Japanese community, about 700 people, is considered unreached by the gospel, largely due to its historical ties to Buddhism. Chamorros, Carolinians, Filipinos and Americans living in the archipelago already have a broad evangelical presence. The greatest missionary challenge lies among migrant workers from parts of Asia with little or no access to the gospel in their homelands.
