Overview

Oman brings together 35 ethnic groups, of which 27 (77% of the total) are still considered unreached with the gospel, including 17 frontier people groups, the most distant of any Christian witness. Together, these unreached groups make up almost 90% of the country's population. The largest is the Omani Arab people itself; the country is also home to Baloch communities from southern Pakistan and Iran, as well as peoples who speak very ancient South Arabian languages, such as Mehri and Jibbali, concentrated in the southern region of Dhofar.
