Samoa

Unreached people groups

An overview of the country's people groups, focusing on those who still have little or no access to the gospel in their own language and culture.

Overview

Samoa has only 6 catalogued people groups, and the vast majority of the population, more than 99%, already lives surrounded by churches established for nearly two centuries. The two groups still unreached are small and specific: the country's deaf community, without a church of its own that uses sign language, and a small group of Japanese residents, without a Christian community in their own language. They are reminders that even in a majority-Christian nation there can always be someone on the margins, waiting to hear the gospel in a way they truly understand.
