Serbia

Unreached people groups

An overview of the country's people groups, focusing on those who still have little or no access to the gospel in their own language and culture.

Overview

Serbia has 27 catalogued ethnic groups, with a population of around 6.5 million people. Most belong to the Serbian people, predominantly Orthodox, but the country is also home to Hungarians, Muslim Bosniaks, Roma and other smaller minorities. Despite the high percentage of people who identify as Christian, the number of truly active evangelicals is very small, which classifies most of the Serbian population as "superficially reached": they know the name of Christ but remain far from a personal, transforming faith.
