Overview

Thailand holds one of the greatest missionary challenges in Asia: the vast majority of its people groups still have no church established in their own language and culture. This includes not only the majority Thai ethnicity, deeply tied to Buddhism, but also dozens of peoples from the northern mountains, Malay Muslim communities in the south and migrant workers from Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos. Many of these groups are classified as frontier people groups, among the most gospel-isolated in the world. Despite its small size, the Thai church remains alive and slowly growing, a sign of hope amid a field that is still vast.
