Uzbekistan

Unreached people groups

An overview of the country's people groups, focusing on those who still have little or no access to the gospel in their own language and culture.

Overview

Uzbekistan brings together 44 people groups, and the vast majority of the country's population, more than 96%, belongs to a people group still unreached by the gospel. The Uzbek people themselves, the majority group with tens of millions of people, remain among the unreached groups, alongside minorities such as Kazakhs, Kyrgyz and Karakalpaks. Only a small fraction of the population, linked mainly to communities of Korean and Russian origin, currently has a higher level of Christian presence.
