Overview

Vietnam brings together 115 people groups, from the Kinh (Vietnamese) majority to dozens of ethnic minorities spread from the mountainous north to the central coast and the Mekong Delta. At least 68 of these groups, nearly 9.7 million people, are considered unreached by the gospel: peoples such as the Hmong, Tay, Nung and Cham (the latter majority Muslim or Hindu in the center of the country) remain largely bound to traditional religions, Buddhism, Islam or Hinduism, with very little presence of local churches.
