Who they are

The Abasakur are an Indigenous people living in the interior of Madang Province, Papua New Guinea. They speak Pal and live in villages surrounded by tropical forests, maintaining a strong communal identity and oral traditions. Although the Christian faith is part of their recent history, geographical isolation still poses challenges to the growth of discipleship in their own mother tongue.
