The Abui are an indigenous people who inhabit the mountains and valleys of Alor Island in eastern Indonesia. Known for their rich oral tradition and Papuan-rooted language, they make their living primarily through traditional agriculture on rugged slopes. Although a large part of the community professes the Christian faith, many still blend ancient ancestral practices and yearn for a deeper biblical understanding.
