Who they are
The Adang are an Indigenous community from the island of Alor in eastern Indonesia. Speakers of their own language in the Timor-Alor-Pantar family, they preserve ancestral customs tied to farming and community life between the mountains and the sea. Although most profess the Christian faith, they seek to keep their unique cultural identity alive while facing the challenges of development in their island region.
