Os adek são um pequeno grupo indígena do tronco mon-khmer que vive em áreas rurais e montanhosas no sul do Laos. Com forte ligação com a terra e com a floresta ao redor, o povo preserva tradições orais e costumes antigos. A vida comunitária é estruturada pela cooperação diária entre as famílias e pela devoção contínua aos espíritos ancestrais.
