The Ageer are a Nilotic community belonging to the wider Dinka family who inhabit the vast plains of South Sudan. Their cultural identity is firmly rooted in pastoral traditions and a strong sense of kinship. Amid a history of instability and isolation in the region, they preserve their language and ancestral customs through a rich oral tradition.
