Who they are
The Agutaynon are an indigenous people native to Agutaya Island in the province of Palawan, Philippines. Making their living mainly through coastal fishing and farming, they preserve their own language and strong island community ties. Although many have migrated to other islands in the region in search of a livelihood, they keep their cultural heritage and their history linked to the Philippine seas alive.
