Who they are

The Akyode are an indigenous people who live mainly in east-central Ghana, near Togo. Speakers of Gikyode, they maintain strong community ties and support their families through traditional farming. Their cultural identity is deeply shaped by reverence for their ancestors and inherited spiritual traditions, while the gospel has so far reached only a few families in the community.
