Who they are
The Ara form a small Indigenous Melanesian community native to New Caledonia and belonging to the Kanak people. Living in valleys and on the slopes of the main island, they preserve their cultural heritage and traditional language amid modern challenges. Although Christianity has been part of their community’s history for generations, personal discipleship rooted deeply in God’s Word remains an ongoing need to renew the faith of younger generations.
