The Arikapu are an indigenous people inhabiting the region of Rondônia, in the southwestern Brazilian Amazon. Historically linked to the Branco and Guaporé river basins, they faced intense pressures from contact over the decades. Today, they keep their identity and memory alive through their bond with the forest and coexistence with neighboring ethnic groups.
