Traditionally connected to transhumant pastoralism in the mountains and trade in the cities, the Aromanians have adapted their way of life to modern realities. Today they are active in commerce, agriculture, and various professional careers in urban centers. Community life places great value on family loyalty and kinship ties. Their gatherings and festivities still celebrate traditional polyphonic songs and typical dishes made with cheeses and handcrafted pastries.
The vast majority belong to the Eastern Orthodox Christian tradition, deeply interwoven with the customs and history of their ancestors. Baptism, patron saint feast days, and Easter rituals are essential milestones in the family calendar. However, for many, faith is expressed more as a cultural commitment and formal reverence than as a daily experience of personal communion with God.
