The Baga Sitemu inhabit the coastal and mangrove areas of Guinea, where they grow rice and preserve strong community ties. Although historically known for their rich artistic traditions and ancestral rituals, most now profess the Islamic faith, which shapes daily routines and decisions in their villages. Only a small proportion of the people know the gospel message in their own language and cultural context.
