Who they are

The Baggara Selim are a traditional cattle-herding community living in the plains of Sudan. As members of the broader Baggara peoples, they share semi-pastoral roots and speak the Sudanese Arabic dialect. Their community life is governed by strong kinship ties and a Muslim identity deeply integrated into the daily life of their families and villages.
