Who they are
The Baiso, also known as Gedicho, mainly inhabit Gidicho Island and the shores of Lake Abaya in southern Ethiopia. They preserve their own language and a way of life closely tied to fishing and farming along the lake shores. With a strong Christian presence in their communities, they represent a living testimony of the gospel in the Rift Valley.
