The Banda Togbo-Vara form a subgroup of the Banda people living in the heart of Central Africa, mainly in the river regions of the Ubangi River basin. Traditionally farmers and hunters, they preserve their own language and a strong sense of village community. Although most profess the Christian faith, they face geographical isolation and the lasting effects of regional tensions.
