The Barok are an Indigenous people who live in the central region of New Ireland Province in Papua New Guinea. With strong ties to the land and their clan traditions, they preserve their own language in daily life and through the passing down of their oral history. The community practices subsistence farming and lives out the Christian faith as a central part of its social identity.
