Who they are

The Bebe live in villages in the Misaje area of Donga-Mantung Division in northwestern Cameroon, near the border with Nigeria. Their language is naami, also known as bebe. People of all ages use it at home, in churches and at community gatherings. To communicate with neighboring peoples, they mainly use Cameroonian Pidgin English. There are Baptist, Presbyterian and Catholic Christians in the villages.
