Who they are
The Belagar are an indigenous community living on Pantar Island and small neighboring islets in the Alor archipelago of eastern Indonesia. Known for their rich maritime and agricultural traditions, they speak the Blagar language and preserve a strong communal identity. Although most profess Christianity, ancestral animist practices still influence daily life, calling for discipleship that deepens the roots of biblical faith.
