Who they are

The Benyi live in the Centre Region of Cameroon, in the canton of Mmala, in Bokito and to the south of the town. Also known as Mmala, they speak numala. In 2009, members of the language committee revised a writing guide to support translation and literacy work. Among the Benyi are Christians and people who follow their traditional beliefs.
