Who they are

The Zekara Berbers are an indigenous community inhabiting the mountainous regions of eastern Morocco. With a strong ancestral heritage and community traditions preserved over centuries, they maintain close ties to the land and to Berber customs.

Their identity is deeply shaped by Islamic faith and by life in rural villages, where hospitality and solidarity among families sustain daily life.
