Who they are

The Betsinga live in the Centre Region of Cameroon, along the Sanaga River, north of Saa and between Ombessa and Ntui. They are also known as the Sanaga. They speak Tuki, a Bantu language with many dialects. In Ombessa and Bafia, many Tuki speakers also speak Iambassa or Bafia, the languages of their neighbors. Most Betsinga identify as Christians, while some follow traditional religions.
