The Boro, also known as Shinasha, are a people of Omotic roots living primarily in northwestern Ethiopia, in the region watered by the Blue Nile. With a strong agricultural tradition and a deep attachment to their land, they preserve their identity through the Borna language and a cooperative way of life.
Although they have a long history connected with Christianity, the community faces the challenge of deepening biblical roots in their own language.
