Brahmin Mastan

The Brahmin Mastan are a Brahmin community established in eastern India, primarily in the state of Odisha, who speak the Odia language. Although they belong to the highest Hindu social order, they traditionally avoid temple priesthood and direct their efforts toward leadership, influential agriculture, and university education, notably in technical and scientific fields. They are a respected and influential group that strictly preserves their family traditions and ancestral religious identity.
