Brahmin Sankliwal

The Sankliwal are a Brahmin community established in Rajasthan, in northwestern India. Although they belong to the priestly caste, most families do not serve in temple religious duties, choosing instead to invest heavily in higher education and in careers such as engineering, technology, and management. With a strong commitment to academics and professional success, they hold prominent social positions. However, the weight of family reputation and traditions means that any openness to a different faith encounters intense social pressure.
