Who they are
The Bure are a small ethnic community living in northeastern Nigeria. Historically devoted to farming, they inhabit rural villages closely integrated with the savanna environment. Although they use Hausa in their dealings with neighboring peoples, they maintain their own traditions and a worldview centered on respect for their ancestors and the forces of nature.
