The Chuj of San Sebastián Coatán are an Indigenous Maya people living mainly in the mountains of Huehuetenango, in western Guatemala. With a strong attachment to the land and community life, they preserve the Chuj language and ancestral traditions that shape their daily lives. Traditional farming and family ties sustain their identity amid social and economic challenges.
