The Daba live mainly in the mountainous regions and plains of northern Cameroon and neighboring areas of Central Africa. Part of the Chadic language group, they preserve strong community ties and an economy based on farming. Although most profess Islam, ancestral traditions and local cultural influences continue to profoundly shape the daily life and identity of this people.
