Who they are

The Dao are a small Indigenous group who live in the dense forests of western New Guinea, in the province of Papua, Indonesia. They live in remote villages, preserving their mother tongue and a strong connection to the land. Although much of the community identifies with historic Christianity, many still hold traditional animist beliefs and have little access to in-depth biblical teaching.
