The daro-matu are an indigenous people of the Melanau subgroup who inhabit coastal and riverine regions of the state of Sarawak, on the island of Borneo. Traditionally linked to fishing, sago cultivation, and river trade, they preserve a strong sense of community and their own dialects, integrating ancestral customs into contemporary life in their coastal villages.
