Who they are
The Delaware, traditionally known as the Lenape, are an Indigenous people originally from the east coast of North America who now live mainly in communities in the United States and Canada. Shaped by a history of great resilience and repeated forced displacement, they preserve their rich communal identity and family ties while sharing in the daily life of contemporary society.
